Founded in 1990, the International Myeloma Foundation (IMF) is the first and largest global organization focusing specifically on multiple myeloma. The IMF’s reach extends to more than 525,000 members in 140 countries worldwide. The IMF is dedicated to improving the quality of life of myeloma patients while working toward prevention and a cure through our four pillars: Research, Education, Support, and Advocacy.

What We Do
Research

The International Myeloma Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for those living with multiple myeloma. We have a range of initiatives to make this happen.

Education

Because "Knowledge Is Power," the IMF brings educational seminars and workshops to communities near you, and provides a library of publications on multiple myeloma care.

Support

Since our inception in 1990, the IMF has supported and met in-person with thousands of patients globally. At our annual Support Group Leaders Summit, the reach is to more than 6,000 patients and caregivers.

Advocacy

The IMF’s Advocacy team has educated and empowered thousands of individuals who make a positive impact each year on issues critical to the myeloma community in the U.S. and worldwide.

Our People

The people of the IMF — our Board of Directors, our management, and our staff — are here to help you. We invite you to learn more about our team.
